Government of Canada Invests $715,000 Funding Boost to Tourism Technology Co.

I'm thrilled to share an exciting development at Tourism Technology Co. We have just made a game-changing breakthrough with an investment of over $715,000 from the Government of Canada, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).

This substantial funding is a massive endorsement of our solutions aimed at solving the biggest challenges in the tourism sector. For all the details, you can find the Government of Canada's news release here.

Our mission has always been about improving the tourism sector with world class software and white-glove customer support. And with this investment, we're taking it to the next level.

So, what's the grand plan? It's both brilliantly simple and ambitiously big — we are fully committing ourselves to revolutionizing online bookings and trip planning through our two flagship products, Booker and Tripper. Our main goal is to eliminate the frustrating web of booking integrations that have plagued tourism business owners for far too long. Instead, we're providing a seamless solution that strengthens the role of Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), increases bookings for business owners, and prioritizes their needs over big tech players in Silicon Valley.

And here's the best part — this investment will propel our expansion across North America. We're committed to bringing Booker and Tripper to even more DMOs and tourism businesses. After all, it has already proven successful in Canada, so let's go for it.

During the press conference announcing the investment, co-founder Mike Jacobs and I stood behind a podium that read "Jobs and Growth," with our amazing team nearby. This funding isn't just about the money; it's also validation for the hard work our team puts in every single day, and the opportunity to provide practical solutions to eager destination managers.
